Hi Friends,

Thanks for opening the Note today. Please relax! Today it is not a novel.

Hope you enjoy!

Sourwood Raw Honey! From the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.

John Redmond, the Beekeeper tells me in his own N. Carolina southern accent, that “This honey is sooo good, you don’t even need butter on the biscuit.”

Wednesday at Hometown, Friday at Green Dragon and Saturday at Forks Farm, we will be giving plenty of tastes of Sourwood Honey.

This is a very popular honey in the south. I don’t know if it ever makes its way to the north. In fact, I just very well may be the first person to bring Sourwood across the border into Pennsylvania. Hallelujah Hive Friends, Customers, or should I say Customer/Friends, Come and get it!!

Northern Vermont Wildflower/Basswood Raw Honey!

For all you folks who have been waiting for the new harvest of Vermont wildflower in the 5 lb jars, we should have it at the markets in two weeks.

Meanwhile, we have the fresh harvests of Florida Orange Blossom, Florida Tupelo, North Carolina Blackberry and Pennsylvania Wildflower. We also have the new harvest of Pennsylvania Fresh Raw Bee Pollen. All this is raw and unprocessed.

Organic Vanilla Skin Cream!

Totally organic, and for the whole body. I know I tell you all, that this cream makes you happy because it feels and smells so good. However, there are some other great, major benefits to wearing this cream.

First of all, because it has Pomegranate Seed oil, it is effective at killing cancer cells. If you are going to the seashore and are going to be in the sun for a while, this cream might make a good skin protector.

The Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil protects the skin from free radicals and aids in restoring the skins youthful appearance as well as making the skin smoother.

The Organic Rosehip Oil improves the skins elasticity, regenerates skin cells and slows down premature aging.

OK! This is only three of the many organic ingredients in this Vanilla Cream. I know it makes you happy. But I should read in detail about my own product. Dorothy created this cream and folks, I am proud of her.

I’m tired of having 57 year old skin, soon to be 58. If I seem happier at the market, and look younger, you know what I’m using.

Who knows, between the pollen and the organic vanilla cream, I might be an almost new man. LOL!

We have the price down at $17.95 a jar, and it is now available on-line. www.HallelujahHive.com

Organic Skin Cream

Ingredients and Description

Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil protects the skin from harmful free radicals, as it is high in antioxidants. Coconut oil will not only bring temporary benefits to the skin, but it will aid in restoring your skin’s youthful appearance. The coconut oil will aid in exfoliating the outer layer of dead skin cells, making the skin smoother. It also penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin to strengthen the underlying tissues.

Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil is high in oleic acid and is therefore a good skin cell regenerator. Olive oil attracts external moisture to the skin and still allows normal functions of the skin to take place (sweating, shedding of dead skin and releasing sebum).

Organic Sunflower Oil is very high in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, B, D and E. It helps to moisturize, regenerate and condition the skin. It is good for mature, sensitive, dry or damaged skin.

Organic Jojoba is better known as a liquid wax rather than oil; it has some remarkable skin care benefits. The skin rapidly absorbs the Jojoba oil, thus pores remain open and can function freely. It closely resembles the natural sebum within our skin. Organic jojoba contains a natural anti-inflammatory and has natural anti-oxidant properties.

Organic Shea Butter used for thousands of years by African healers as the ideal treatment for dry or aging skin. Its high content of non-saponifiables and unique fatty acid profile gives Shea Butter the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. Shea Butter also helps to protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun while repairing cellular degeneration.

Organic Pomegranate Seed Oil is gaining increased recognition by cosmeceutical manufacturers and the spa and aromatherapy industries due to its remarkable ability to nourish, moisturize and improve skin elasticity. Its high polyphenol content makes it a strong anti-oxidant. Studies have shown that pomegranate oil is effective at killing cancer cells when applied topically.

Organic Rosehip Oil (Rosa mosqueta) is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. It has natural anti-oxidant properties and is slightly astringent. Studies show that Organic Rosehip Oil helps improve skin elasticity, regenerates skin cells, slows down premature aging, reduces the formation of wrinkles, and reduces scarring. It is ideally suited for mature or damaged skin.

Organic Vanilla Absolute has a sweet, warm, balm-like fragrance. It is known to help relax and calm the emotions. Used on the skin it is a powerful antioxidant preventing damage of the skin cells from pollutants and other toxins.

Ingredients: distilled water, aloe vera juice*, sunflower oil*, beeswax, jojoba oil*, extra virgin coconut oil*, shea butter*, extra virgin olive oil*, rose hip oil*, lecithin*, borax (cosmetic grade), raw honey, vanilla absolute*, and pomegranate extract*, and rosemary extract* *Certified Organic ingredients

Hi, Health minded Friends,

Thanks for opening the Note today. I hope you are all doing well in body, mind, and spirit. Please Enjoy!

Very recent testimonies!

Comments:

Dear Mark,
My husband and I are so thrilled with the soap we bought from you at the Hometown market. Having built a new home in a thickly wooded area, we have loved walking the trails on our new property. What we didn’t enjoy, however, were the horse flies and pesty bugs that bit us every time we went for walks. But that problem has been solved. We purchased the natural soap you sell. Our intent was to have better skin health. We were happily surprised to find a hidden bonus. As much as we love the smell of the soap, the bugs hate it. We can walk our trails without the constant nuisance of bugs attacking us. Thank you for this wonderful product. Your wife is a creative genius!
Blessings to you

and another one…

Hello, Folks. I have something I’d like to share with you. My sister, one of your customers, had tried the bee pollen and had a terrible reaction to it. She was too afraid to try it again, even just a very few granules at a time, as you had suggested to her, and I acquired her supply of it this past weekend. The first day I took a spoon of it, I almost killed myself! I wasn’t ready for it to stick to everything inside of my mouth, nor was I used to its taste. What I did notice, though, was how quickly I didn’t feel hungry. Hmmmm. That was good. Same results yesterday (although I quickly learned to put just a small amount at a time in my mouth) and today. So, my last three days have started off like this: get up at 4:30 and have 3/4 oz. of Seven+, hike for an hour with my dog, take barley max when I get back to the house, shower and get ready for work, make my lunch, take a teaspoon of bee pollen, and then be off. I prepared breakfast (2 bananas, 1 C uncooked oatmeal, 1 tsp. carob, and some chopped walnuts) but didn’t feel the need to eat any of it until about 10:00 or 10:30. At lunch time I’m still not really hungry, so am able to go out and walk another 45 minutes in the sunshine (not too much sun at 4:30!). Have a light lunch and am ready for the afternoon. What a great way to go through the day!

Life just gets better ‘n better!

Best to all,

Noreen

Our colorful soap, yellow beeswax candles, white skin creams and the Golden nectar of raw honey are, in the language of today’s culture, “Green”.

Green Dragon & Hometown Farmers Markets!

SALES! We always have specials going on at the markets.

*Natural Soap—3 for $12. Mix & Match or our bulk price is 12 for $45. That’s $3.75 each. Come and act like a kid in a candy shop as you pick 12 or more future different shower experiences.

*And More!

The 5 most important foods that I put into my mouth are:

*Fresh Pure water (About 8-10 glasses daily)

     *Fresh Bee Pollen

     *Raw Honey

     *Barley Max

     *B-Flax-D or Fiber Cleanse

Please, eat live foods. You will be in a better mood. You won’t have any more aches and pains. Your weight will adjust to what you were meant to be. You will just feel better.

I am always talking about the benefits of fresh bee pollen, raw honey, Barley Max and fiber for a well maintained colon.

Eat a liberal amount of raw fruits, vegetables, and fresh green vegetable salads. Consume raw nuts and seeds. Whole grains are wonderful for the body.

STOP putting poison in your body like soda, white sugar and white flour.

When I have a day or two of eating what I call the wrong foods (for me it’s too much cooked organic sweets and too much cooked foods in general), I will and do pay for it with aches, pains, and just an all round not feeling good. My body will feel heavy, my mind cloudy. I think to myself, “What am I doing? Am I crazy?” Yes! But that’s besides the point. What comes to mind on a bad eating spree is that 4 letter word, Sick! Or even worse, the seven letter word, Disease! I guess you could say that if I don’t eat right, I feel 57 years old. I know. That’s how old I am. But usually I feel in my thirties or even twenties.

When I am eating right I just sometimes break out in a run. I exercise. I feel mentally and physically GREAT!

If we are eating a lot of raw foods, we are consuming enzymes. Folks, enzymes are the spark of life. Once our enzymes are all used up, we die…………………………………………………

However, if we are wise and eat a good amount of raw fruits, raw veggies, raw honey and pure water, we do not have to worry about running out of enzymes.

Our Creator gave us a sufficient amount of enzymes to last at least 120 years. However, we Americans have a way of wasting them away by eating a diet of mostly cooked foods, which do not contain any enzymes. It just doesn’t have to be this way.

Let’s run the race. Below is a more detailed article on the spark of life if you are interested in the everyday details for a disease free long life.

“The Spark of Life Itself, Enzymes”

According to Dr. Edward Howell, physician and pioneer in enzyme research, “enzymes are essential for digesting food, for stimulating the brain, for providing cellular energy, and for repairing all tissues, organs, and cells. Life as we know it could not exist without the action of enzymes. In their primary role, enzymes are catalysts—substances that accelerate and precipitate the hundreds of thousands of biochemical reactions in the body that control life’s processes.”

James & Phyllis Balch M.D and CNC give their definition of Enzymes this way, “Enzymes are essential chemicals that are the foundation of human bodily functions. They are activators in the chemical reactions that are continually taking place within the body.”

I (it’s me again), thought enzymes were a very simple component, which simply help us digest food. However, upon a little investigation, I have found that they are a very very complex component. Other than the tip of the surface to inform as of some of the complexity, I would like to keep it simple. I have always understood simple things. I never liked getting too bogged down in the mud of complexity, as I tend to get lost and never find my way out.

There are many, many types of enzymes. They assist in practically every bodily function. I always tell people that enzymes help keep us young. As we age, the enzymes our bodies make on their own begin to deplete, so we have to constantly renew these enzymes through other sources to retard the aging process.

When I was younger, I was aging quickly, because I was not renewing my enzymes by eating salads and other raw foods. In my twenties and early thirties, I already lost the ability to digest certain foods. For instance, I could no longer digest onions, which I loved. Now, at 57 I can eat plenty of them without throwing up or getting sick.

Before I get too carried away with the simple wonder of it all, please let me get more scientific for only a moment.

Enzymes are divided into two groups: metabolic enzymes and digestive enzymes. Metabolic enzymes are enzymes that catalyze the various chemical reactions within the cells, such as energy production and detoxification. The activities of all the body’s organs, tissues, and cells are governed by metabolic enzymes. They are the workers that build the body from proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Metabolic enzymes are found doing their specific work in the blood, organs, and tissues. Every body tissue has its own specific set of metabolic enzymes. Metabolic enzymes are the energy of life.

Digestive enzymes are secreted along the gastrointestinal tract and break down foods, enabling the nutrients to be absorbed into the bloodstream for use in various bodily functions. There are three main categories of digestive enzymes: amylase, protease, and lipase. Do you see what I mean about complex? It gets a lot more complex, but we are not going there today. I will try to keep it very simple.

Of the tens of thousands of enzymes needed, our bodies put out more energy producing the two dozen digestive enzymes that control the breakdown and utilization of proteins, fat, and carbs than it uses to create the hundreds of metabolic enzymes necessary to maintain the rest of the tissues and organs in their functions.

When I was a mere almost youth, my Aunt Edith told me that she could no longer digest most foods. She told me her bodily enzymes were almost depleted. Unfortunately, she did not know how to rectify this situation and neither did I at the time. OH! It could have been so simple, if one of us knew the simple formula. I could have given her the Digestive Enzymes we carry and some raw honey. She could have been out there in the world enjoying wonderful tasty foods again.

As I said earlier, if we do not continue to renew the enzymes in our body, our own enzymes will slowly deplete. We will shrivel up, age and die. If we are Christians, that’s kind of good in that we will be with the Lord that much quicker. However, it’s also kind of bad since we will help that many less people with our time on earth being that much shorter.

Digestive enzymes break down food particles for storage in the liver and muscles. This stored energy is later converted by other enzymes for use by the body when necessary. Enzymes assist the kidneys, liver, lungs, colon, and skin in removing wastes and toxins from the body. Enzymes also utilize the nutrients ingested by the body to construct new muscle tissue, nerve cells, bone, skin, and glandular tissue. One enzyme can take dietary phosphorus and convert it into bone. WOW!

Enzymes also protect the blood from dangerous waste materials by converting these substances to forms that are easily eliminated by the body. This reminds me of the Serrapeptase we carry from Hallelujah Acres which is a natural enzyme that eats dead tissue in the bloodstream, varicose veins, etc. It goes around cleaning the junk out of the body. It is impossible to name all the different functions of enzymes, but you get the picture.

OK! Here’s the tricks to living happily ever after in digestive bliss.

Enzymes come from food, not just any food, RAW food! A word of caution! If raw food is heated to over 107 degrees Fahrenheit, enzymes will cease to be enzymes. That is why I tell people who want to put raw honey in their tea to wait a few minutes after they pour the boiling water. The water must cool to under 107 degrees for the enzymes in the honey to remain alive. Now take care to not forget this trick that few people know, for the knowledge can save your life.

By the way, a good way to remember these tricks is to eat Raw Honey. It helps your memory and contains many enzymes.

Other foods that contain beneficial enzymes, besides raw honey are raw avocados, papayas, pineapples, bananas, and mangos. These are some of the highest in enzymes. Sprouts are very high. All raw veggies and fruits contain enzymes.

Eat a lot of raw all the time. Eat plenty of green salads. Eat plenty of apples and bananas.

Don’t forget 8-10 glasses of pure water a day.

Another rich source of enzymes are whole food supplements. Hallelujah Acres has the Barley Max and the supplement Digestive Enzymes. Dorothy, the kids and I, usually take these Digestive Enzymes while eating cooked foods which contain no enzymes for digesting. Digestive enzymes are also good taken in the middle of the day on an empty stomach or with Barley Max.

Digestive Enzymes in general deliver nutrients, carry away toxic wastes, digest food, purify the blood, deliver hormones by feeding and fortifying the endocrine system, balance cholesterol and triglyceride levels, feed the brain and cause no harm to the body. All of these factors contribute to the strengthening of the immune system.

A lot of the information contained in this little article comes from the book “Prescription for Nutritional Healing” and other sources.

Here’s some Food for Thought. If you have been reading my articles over the months, through years of investigating, seeing other people’s testimonies, and experiencing for myself what nutrition can do for a dying body, I have come up with some simple sources to life, longevity, energy and renewed youth. They are:

#1—Lots of raw greens and other veggies

#2—A lesser amount of raw fruits

#3—Raw juices such as carrot and Barley Max (Barley & alfalfa grass)

#4—Eat whole grains, like brown rice and millet, sweet potatoes, yams, etc.

#5—Lots of pure water (distilled is best). At least 8 eight ounce glasses a day

#6—Fiber Cleanse or B-Flax-D (fiber each day) for the colon

#7—Raw Honey & Fresh Raw Bee Pollen

#8—Exercise such as walking every day and weight bearing.

#9—Deep breathing exercises to ingest more alkaline oxygen into the body

#10—Sunshine every day if possible

#11—Rest

#12—Less high stress. Give up the business if you have to. Don’t watch the news.

#13—Forgive everyone

#14—Let God be the judge

#15—Pray and then “Let it go”

#16—Fast occasionally. Not just spiritually, to let the body rest and heal.

Hope to see you at the markets this week,

                       Mark

If you dare, please read on. The message is strong & heavy.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us……if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

“Anyone who trusts in Him (Jesus) will never be put to shame.”

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”

Book of Romans – “The Bible”

Explanation! It is as though you folks, my friends, everyone that I know, are stuck on a dessert island. We are all in the same situation, struggling to survive. Some of us are trying to figure out and dream up ways to improve our life there until we just cease to exist.

While I am walking on the other side of the island, someone gives me a note that says a large ship is coming in a short time to save us. And besides that, there is a wonderful party going on there. The ship knows about us and we are all invited to the party.

How can I keep from telling you all about this? Do I keep the news to myself, get on the boat, and leave you all to perish on the harsh island?

NO! I must tell you, because I care about you all. You are my friends. There is a great ship coming to rescue us, take us aboard and give us a party. I believe it. Let us go to the other side of the island and watch for it. I am excited!!

If I have gotten bad information, we are doomed to stay on the dessert island. However, if you reject this news, and I am right, you lose either way. How can I stand the thought of any of you being left behind when such great joy lies ahead.

If I die rejecting Christ and He is indeed real, oh what horror I may face. If He is not real, then maybe I turn to ions and float into space. No big deal.

But! If I die accepting Christ as Lord & God, ask Him to forgive my sins and save my soul, and He is real, oh what great joy lies ahead for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

           Thanks for listening!

Hi Friends,

Hope you are all healthy and full of God’s joy this day. I am truly sorry for the long gap between writing my last Note. The season just came upon us so quickly, not to mention the 98 degree heat. In our office, it is usually about the same temp and humidity as outside. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time putting together thoughts at the computer when the sweat is pouring down my face.

Dorothy and I have not had an air conditioner since we moved back to this great sacred state of Pennsylvania in 1996. Well, we had a business meeting recently, which lasted about 10 seconds, and decided we will probably buy a small air conditioner so we can function on the days that feel like South Jersey in July.

Just to bring you folks up to date, the markets are popping with lots of hustle and bustle, even in the heat. We are getting some tremendous testimonies at the markets from many of you folks eating the bee pollen. I love hearing this happy stuff, but please take a moment, and email your thoughts, so I can share them with everyone else through the newsletter and website.

     Please enjoy the article!!

“ACID REFLUX; AS AMERICAN AS APPLE PIE”

In fact, acid reflux, acid indigestion, digestive problems in general are all American. Why do you think? Is it because we’re American? No! Is it because we eat too much junk? Is it because we’re too stressed? Is it because we tend to live in the fast lane and go for all the gusto, cake, hot wings we can get? Yes! All the above. Where’s the fire? Why do we have to go so high up the ladder? The higher up we climb, the further down we fall. By golly, we’re Americans, that’s why. That’s what we do. Everything to the MAX. Remember the Wild West? Remember Evil Knievle? Remember our teenage years? Oh yeah! Remember the Alamo!! Ok Seriously.

Please don’t get me wrong. That’s not everyone. Unfortunately that was me until my health hit the wall at age 42. I know it’s mostly everyone though, because the doctor told me when I went into his office after hitting the wall that they all come in at about age 42. So if your digestion is at peace, you’re excused from this reading. You can go out, take a walk and smell the flowers. Please pray for the rest of us who need these words.

For many of us, our life style is filled with acid. Acid from stress, acid from the wrong foods, etc. Oh! To be free from the acids of life and be able to live in alkaline bliss! Well, it’s very possible. I, Mr. Acid before the age of 42 know. Yes! Yes! Yes! There is indeed hope for the acid addict.

What is this acid and where does it come from? Acid comes from high stress. Acid comes from high acid foods (of course), like meat products, dairy products, processed fried and junk food products like those chips with artificial ingredients, fast foods, coffee, and the worst of all, cigarettes.

The acid I’m talking about is uric acid. Please remember that name, uric acid. It’s very bad.

What does uric acid do? It slowly kills us. It causes arthritis. It is the favorite food of evil prowlers such as cancer, diabetes, acid reflux, and virtually every disease on the chart.

God made our bodies to feed on alkaline foods, to have low bad stress, to take the time to smell the flowers. I think of my youngest Daughter Amy. When she was little, she would hold her head into the wind outside, and just take in the breeze. On the other hand, I would go outside in the wind and worry if I would have enough food for my family for the next week.

Well, after almost 20 years of worrying, I should have worried about having too much food. My stomach got so fat, then it went into my head and my head got fat. I almost died of worry, acid, and too much food. Oh the webs we weave in life! Please forgive me if I seem happy. It’s actually joy and peace. It’s great to be alkaline. Like the words of Ebenezer Scrooge after he saw the light, “I don’t deserve to be so happy!”.

After 42 years of worry and acid, now that I’m alkaline, I hardly worry anymore. Jesus said that if God the Father has His eyes on the little birds, how much more will He take care of you?

What is Alkaline, and what does it do? Our blood Ph is 7.4, which is alkaline. It needs to stay that way, or we will die. So, when we eat acid foods, or we’re under high stress, all this uric acid that comes into our body has to be neutralized to 7.4. Our bodies need something alkaline to do this. So where does it get it? Either from alkaline foods, if we are eating any, or from our bones. UH OH! Not our bones! Yes! Our bones. The calcium in our bones is a great source of alkaline.

What is the living answer? Believe it or not it is real easy. Really. On the one hand less bad stress. On the other hand, eat lots of alkaline foods. Some of them are raw fruits, raw vegetables (greens are the most alkaline), baked potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, steamed or lightly baked veggies, lots and lots of pure drinking water (distilled is best), and spend time talking or meditating with our Creator. There’s more, like exercise (walking is best), sunshine, a jolly heart (a lot of laughing), and forgiveness. “Vengence is mine sayeth the Lord”, from “The Bible”.

We (Hallelujah Hive) have some natural, whole food supplements and whole foods that WILL help you get alkaline and WILL help you get rid of acid reflux and all your digestive problems. You see, if given the right fuel, our bodies will heal themselves. That’s how our bodies are made. They are the greatest computers in the world.

For digestive problems, acid reflux, and arthritis, we have spun–raw–unfiltered HONEY. We have Fresh Bee Pollen!! We have Barley Max. We have organic-raw-apple-cider vinegar. These are the stuff that builds strong bones, strong cells, and blissful tummies.

Did you know that the greatest weight lifter in his age group (sixties) in this country drinks organic apple juice before he lifts? It’s not in the meat that the lazy lions eat. It’s in the leaves that rabbits & gorillas and large elephants eat. By the way, these last animals are the strongest in the world. Not the rabbit of course.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

       The Beginning!!!

Hope to see you at the markets this week,

In the United States, the average lifespan of a medical doctor is 62 years. That is the average. That means that some live longer and some shorter. There are some very good medical doctors around who are also into natural means of health.

Something that might be interesting to consider, as I approach my 60’s – would I put my life into the hands of doctors that don’t know how to get past 62 themselves?

Please don’t take me wrong. Dorothy and I personally know some very fine medical doctors. I’m just saying that this statistic is scary and we should choose wisely.

Just because I have not been to the doctors since 1995, does not mean that other folks should never see the doctor. Check-ups can be good. That is between you and your very fine doctor. The system is evil. Some doctors also may be. However, many really do care about their patients. I just want to set the record straight. I am not against medical doctors. It is just that the system is bias to one side and not balanced. It is good to find a doctor that is more balanced in his or her approach to health.

The medical doctors of today are taught to believe that disease is controlled and even destroyed by medical drugs. But if the immune system is not strong enough to take the drugs, the body can die.

The Naturopathic doctor believes that the body, if given the right nutrition, or other natural means, can heal itself.

Joel Fuhrman M.D. a nationally known medical doctor uses a little of both in his practice. He believes that medical drugs should be used in emergency situations, and as soon as possible the patient should be put on natural means of healing so the body can heal itself. Medical doctors all over the country send their diabetic patients to Joel that they have given up on. Doctor Fuhrman sees 90+% of them get off most, if not all their insulin within 4 weeks.

The masses in this country are told that natural ways are quackery, and medical doctors, from what I have been told, are pressured by their insurance companies to push the drugs. Here is an interesting statistic: One of our Forefathers, Benjamin Rush, back in the seventeen hundreds said,

Benjamin Rush MD – “Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an underground dictatorship… To restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic and have no place in a republic… The Constitution of this republic should make special privilege for medical freedom as well as religious freedom.” Benjamin Rush, MD, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and personal physician to George Washington.

I’m going to stop here, because I will only get upset if I go further.

“Some Benefits OF”

RAW HONEY!

     Strong Bones

     Strong Digestion

Asthma—One of our customers, owner of a horse farm, said that after she started eating raw honey, her asthma just went away.

     Better memory

Natural anti-biotic—Less colds and other sickness. Honey strengthens the immune system.

     Tummy ulcers eliminated

According to Joe Traynor, the author of “Honey, The Gourmet Medicine”, copyright 2002, “Honey has been shown to provide relief for, or to cure, a number of different disorders, including, but not limited to the following: Diarrhea, ulcers, infections, IBS, gastrointestinal problems, cancer and staph infections. There are reports that honey both inhibits and kills cancer cells and can prevent the spread or metastasis of cancer.

Honey has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on a number of fungal species, including Candida.”

Youthful Energy—Athletes in many countries have found that honey gives them more energy and staying power.

OH!! There is so much more. Nevertheless, so you don’t have to read a novel, let us go on to:

Bee Pollen

Fountain of Youth for the skin (Anti-wrinkle)

     Sinuses

     Arthritis

     Youthful energy

Increases Metabolism—Warning! the side effect is “Weight Loss”

     Anemia

Long, Long Life. Over 200 Beekeepers in Northern Russia well over 100 yrs old. They sell their honey and have pollen on the dinner table everyday.

Increased physical strength, even within 24 hours.

     Less constipation

Only perfect food—Contains all the nutrition the human body needs.

We are seeing incredible results at the marketplace with this youthful food. I am getting testimonies virtually every week. This past Wednesday, one of our customers told me he started taking pollen twice a day last Thursday, after he got it from us at Hometown Market last Wednesday. He took it twice a day from Thursday through Sunday and, as a runner, he clocked a record run on Monday, just 5 days after he started eating the pollen.

I have been talking a lot about fresh bee pollen lately, so let’s go on to:

“Barley Max”

Contains barley and alfalfa grass

     Helps cleanse and normalize blood

Alkalizes body—One of the most alkaline foods in the world. Disease hates alkaline. All disease is acid loving. Do the math! Arthritis, cancer, diabetes etc.

     Builds and strengthens immune system

Helps strengthen and rebuild the cellular structure of the body.

Fiber Cleanse

Gentle colon cleanse

     Cholesterol

     Weight Loss

     Return to youthful energy

     Nicer, more youthful skin

     Parasites gone in two weeks

     More regular

     Less Constipation

     You just feel better!!

Propolis Spray– Natural anti-biotic

Poison Ivy (Itch & spread immediately)

     Acne (within a week)

Cold sores (many have told me a matter of minutes)

Sore Throat (Great for singers & speakers)

     Cuts—Helps keep infection out

     Helps stop bleeding

I could go on with Wild Cherry syrup, Elderberry formula, etc., but I would be creating a Hallelujah Hive dictionary.

For more info on our natural products, and ordering, you can go to www.HallelujahHive.com

Hope to see you at the markets,

“What I Want to do When I Grow Up”

…from a 50’s perspective.

Did you ever hear of Jack LaLanne? He started the first health club in America in 1936.

Believe it or not, he is still around. In fact, he and his wife of about 54 years are traveling the world, lecturing to whoever will listen that you don’t have to be sick. He’s now 95 years young, and driving a new red sports car.

When he was a kid, he wore a back brace. He was weak, thin, sickly (he dropped out of school for a year because of illness). He was shy, withdrawn, and he had boils, pimples, and blinding headaches.

For breakfast, lunch and dinner his diet was composed of cakes, pies and ice cream. That is until he met the late, great Paul Bragg. Remember, he was the guy who went surfing at 95 in Hawaii and had the veins and arteries of a 20 year old in his nineties.

Well, to make a long story short, Paul chewed Jack out and set him on the right track, one of exercise and a good diet.

Soon after that, Jack got down on his knees and prayed to God. He said, “God, please give me the willpower to refrain from eating unhealthy foods when the urge comes over me. And please give me the strength to exercise even when I don’t feel like it.”

It worked. Jack celebrated his 70th birthday by towing 70 rowboats with 70 people on board for a mile and a half across Long Beach Harbor with his hands handcuffed and his feet shackled.

Jack has a saying, “Exercise is king. Nutrition is queen. Put them together and you’ve got a kingdom.”

On the nutrition end, Jack has been a vegan most of his life, at least since the pie & cake stage. Today, at 95 he does eat an occasional egg white and wild fish. Oh well, we’re not all perfect. LOL! But what he lacks in diet, still LOL….. he makes up for in exercise. What are his exercises? He pulls rowboats !!! I’m kidding of course. He only does that once in a while.

Jack was recently asked if he thought he’d live to be 100. He said, “I don’t care how old I live! I just want to be living while I am living! I have friends who are in their eighties, and now they’re in wheelchairs or they’re getting Alzheimer’s. Who wants that? I want to be able to do things. I want to look good. I don’t want to be a drudge on my wife and kids. And, I want to get my message out to people. I tell people I can’t afford to die. It would wreck my image.”

Jack LaLanne loves people and he loves being alive. I don’t know if you noticed or not, but he never retired.

Jack received a letter from an older couple. The gentleman asked if Jack thought it was alright to have sex at 75. Jack replied that his wife and him like it a little cooler.

I titled this article “What I want to do when I grow up” from a 50’s perspective. I have a question for you. What do you want to do when you grow up? Do you want to retire, become or continue to be a couch potato, play golf, or……do you want to climb mountains, become a missionary, dance, laugh and play football with your grand kids, or/and take walks with your great grandkids? Do you want to tell stories to your great great grandkids?

When I was in high school, they were always pushing us teenagers to make up our minds on what we wanted to do when we grow up. In other words, at 17 years of age, they want us to know how we will spend the rest of our lives. I didn’t realize what I wanted to do in life until I was 50. Now, at 57, I’m excited about the future.

I’m not thinking about retiring at 65. I’m hoping to be still preaching the message of “You Don’t Have to be Sick“ at 100, if God allows me. I want to still be working at the Markets at age 100. I want to climb mountains into my eighties and then at least go hiking after that. I do want to walk with and tell stories to my great great grandkids which could possibly come along when I’m in my early 100’s.

I would like to go for walks when I’m 107 in the country (if there still is any) with my wife (my best friend) and reminisce about the last century.

I’ve been given a gift of great value, the gift of the knowledge of health and longevity. I can use it or abuse it. It is solely up to me.

If I choose “wisely”, with God’s help, I can spend my next 50 or 60 years on earth serving and teaching others, that many of them might go on to serve and teach as well.

Others have given me this gift of great value, and because of it I’m healed, healthy and alive today. I’m very thankful to my wife Dorothy, George Malkmus, Dr. Phiefer, Susan, the owner of “The Country Store” in Leighton, and so many others for teaching and encouraging me. I’m especially thankful to the Lord Himself who encouraged me through the Bible. Yes, the Bible, with passages like “I heal all your diseases. I renew your youth like the eagle” and a multitude of other scriptures. Gifts are for giving. I must never forget that, and I must work towards that goal.

There are a couple studies I would like to mention. At Tufts University, residents of a chronic-care hospital, almost all of whom were over the age of 90, were put on a weight-training program. Some needed assistance walking to the bathroom. Instead of killing these frail and fragile people, eight weeks later their wasted muscles had grown stronger by 300 percent, and both balance and coordination were much improved. Oh! In addition, no one needed assistance walking anymore.

At the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, 12 men between 60 and 72 were put on regular supervised weight-training sessions 3 times a week for 3 months. They were asked to train at 80% of their one repetition maximum, (the heaviest weight they could lift at one try). At the end of the experiment, the strength of the men’s quadriceps had more than doubled, and the strength of their hamstrings had tripled. By the end of the program, many of these older men could lift heavier boxes than the 25 year olds working in the laboratory.

Sadly, the general American way of thinking is that we grow up at 21, wind down and retire at 65, take it easy for a few years and die………….!!!!!!

In many countries in the world, and this is a fact, many are dancing, working full time and enjoying a pain free, disease free life well into their 90’s and 100’s. They live in places like Okinawa, China, Abkhasis, Vilcabamba, Northern Russia and Hunza.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Alzheimer’s Disease, Cancer, Diabetes and other diseases are not caused by aging. They don’t even exist in many of these lands. They are caused by our lust for the wrong foods, our laziness when it comes to drinking enough water, exercising, high stress lifestyles, our anger and lack of forgiveness towards others, etc. etc. etc.

Please! I am not pointing the finger. I know that some would say getting Mark Gibson to change his ways has been the utmost of a challenge (like pulling teeth), and I do have some pulled from too much cake & ice cream.

Speaking of ice cream, according to John Robbins, son of the ice cream giant, who left the Baskin Robbins empire and now preaches on healthier living, “it doesn’t matter what age you are, you can change your ways, start eating right, start exercising, and you’ll see results.”

I think a lot has to do with our attitude. Is the glass half empty or half full. Do we tend to be negative in our thinking or positive? The sun will rise in the morning. A cloud does have a silver lining. There is light at the end of the tunnel. YES! Everything is going to be OK! To me, Mark Gibson, the fountain of youth is Bee Pollen, raw honey, greens, whole foods and my Savior Jesus Christ!!

In the words of Winston Churchill, who had watched London being pulverized by German bombs and all England on the verge of extinction by Hitler, and yet win the war regardless——“Never Never Never…..Give Up!!!”

Thanks for listening. Hope to see you at the markets, and don’t forget Forks Farm,

Hi Friends,

Happy Memorial Day! Remembering those who have given their lives for America that we might have the freedoms we enjoy inspires me. I am truly thankful for these folks, and I have hope for this country because I believe God honors what our forefathers and the fallen soldiers have done unselfishly in God’s Name.

Thanks for opening the Note today. Please Enjoy!

“Hallelujah Hive Natural Soaps”

It was about 5 or 6 years ago that Dorothy had the idea of creating our own natural soaps. Dorothy was already looking for pure natural soap when we started going out together back in 1982. Finally, in the 21st Century she asked me if she were to develop a totally natural soap, do I think folks would buy it at the market? John, our market neighbor, said it would. Thank you John!! We decided it didn’t matter. If nobody bought the soap, we would use it.

You know, even though we have a lot of problems here, this country is still a neat wonderful place to go after the American dream. We’re not making 600 bars a day or more, like some of these over night success soap companies, but we have a lot of happy customers who keep coming back for the 3 for $12 or the 12 for $45 deals. There are even several shops in New England, Canada, and the great state of Pennsylvania, who carry our natural soaps.

Anyway, we are now carrying about 25 different soaps, the most popular being Oatmeal & Honey, followed by Lovely Lavender, Patchouli, Cocoa Butter, and Minty Fresh.

Brand new, this week at the markets, we will have on the shelf, “Balsam & Elder” natural soap. The ingredients include balsam fir needle essential oil and crushed organic elderberry flowers with a nice natural evergreen color. The organic elder flowers are from our friends, Jacinthe and Sylvain, owners of an organic elderberry farm in Quebec. Thank you, Jacinthe, for it was your idea to create this soap to begin with, and thank you also for sending us the elder flowers for the soap. These same two ingredients are also found in their Elderberry Salve for arthritis and inflammation pain, which we carry.

Next week, we plan to unveil our first 100% organic soap called, “Vanilla Bean”. Have you ever smelled the fragrance of organic vanilla? It is awesome, so light, alluring and gentle. We also use this same organic vanilla in our new Organic Vanilla Skin Cream. We hope to offer these soon on our website, but for now, they are only sold at the markets.

For those who are wondering what our natural soap is all about:

Hallelujah Hive Natural Soaps

Our all-natural soaps are handmade in small batches the old-fashioned way using olive oil and other vegetable oils.

Pure essential oils release their lovely perfume and aromatherapy in every bar. Those who know us know we love our honey! Raw honey is in every recipe since it helps to draw and retain moisture to the skin as well as add healing benefits. To help create a harder and longer lasting bar of soap, we use beeswax or cocoa butter.

When ready, the soaps are hand cut and cured for at least 3 weeks. And wow! Do they smell great! We hope you enjoy our homemade soaps as much as we do!

Soap Ingredients:

saponified oils of olive, coconut, palm, sunflower and/or safflower, and castor, shea butter, bees wax, raw honey, and essential oils.

Shampoo/Body Bar Ingredients:

saponified oils of coconut, palm, castor, olive, sunflower and or safflower, and jojoba, cocoa butter, shea butter, sweet almond oil, wheat germ oil, raw honey, and essential oils.

May also contain:

apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, organic or non-irradiated spices, herbs, flower petals or buds, grains, and natural plant derived colorants.

Hometown & Green Dragon Farmers Markets!

Super Food – “Fresh Bee Pollen”!

Please accept no imitations. Walt, the Pennsylvania beekeeper’s pollen, is not only fresh, it is organically made, and it tastes sweet and delicious. Now Walt has not been able to certify his pollen organic yet. It is hard to certify pollen and honey, since the bees do have a mind of their own, and one or two may decide to visit a farm 10 miles down the road with some sprayed flowers. Not likely, but it is hard to prove.

I know I talked about fresh pollen in the last Note, but I am really excited about it, seeing what I am seeing in the testimonies of our folks at the markets, and even my own body. By just doubling the amount of pollen I eat a day, I have lost weight in my tummy and gained more noticeable strength in my exercise routines.

We are seeing results in our customers with arthritis, allergies, sinus problems, and more.

Walt, the beekeeper, tells me he eats 4 to 5 tablespoons on a normal day. In fact, he says many days he lives on pollen and water until dinner.

I have increased my dosage to about 1 tablespoon twice a day. However, I saw results when I ate just 2 teaspoons once a day.

Here is a testimony sent today through our guest page on our website:

My Mom and I have been taking the Pollen since Friday and have both noticed dramatic results. We are telling everyone about it. As for you I wish I had met you long ago, you are good people and the whole world should know about the products you sell. Oh wait we already do, just not everone takes the products. We will be back on friday this coming week to buy more pollen. Love to you and your wife.

Tupelo Honey!

100% Certified Raw, Unheated, Unfiltered Tupelo Honey from the white tupelo trees that grow in the Apalachicola River basin in North West Florida.

Yes, Hallelujah Hive will now be carrying Don Smiley’s Tupelo Honey. Don is the beekeeper and owner of Smiley Apiaries. From what Don tells me, Tupelo honey, although it is totally raw, stays liquid indefinitely.

If all goes well, our first shipment should arrive in time for this Friday’s Green Dragon Market. This is just the first in a series of new raw honey harvests this summer and fall, including honey from North Carolina.

According to “Woman’s Day” magazine (It was lying around the house), I quote: “Honey is moving out of the kitchen and into the medicine cabinet as scientists continue to uncover surprising evidence of its health benefits. The biggest news so far: Honey can ease many of the common and unpleasant side effects of cancer treatments, and helps stomach ulcers heal faster, according to new research reported at a conference in Athens, Greece, on the medical uses of honey.

Honey is also a natural antiseptic, killing harmful bacteria, reducing inflammation and clearing infections.

Many types of bacteria have become anti-biotic resistant and don’t respond to conventional ointments,” says Peter Molan, Ph.D., professor of biological sciences at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. “But honey clears up these infections without a problem.” End of Quote…..

Off the record, these scientists could have saved themselves a lot of time and taxpayer money if they had just asked some of you folks, our customers, or a couple of our natural beekeeper friends like Todd or Walt what the benefits of raw honey are.

Ordering!

For ordering by postal service any of our fabulous natural products, you can call Dorothy or me at 570-401-1353, or order on-line at www.HallelujahHive.com

Word of Wisdom!

Don’t believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see. Judge on the testimonies of the people.

Study those who are very healthy or have been totally healed of disease. Look at the common denominators of what they did, such as their diets, stress levels, exercise habits etc.

I studied folks, many who were up there in age, who had beaten terminal disease. Some of their common denominators were that they all drank a lot of fresh water, ate mostly whole raw foods, built their meals around vegetables, exercised, etc.

You may have seen it, there is a commercial on TV that says corn syrup is good for you. Oh Yeah?? Where’s the testimonies of the folks living long healthy lives from eating corn syrup?

It is not just common denominators, it’s common sense, good old “Horse Sense”. God gave us everything we need in nature to be 100% healthy.

“He created a Garden for Adam & Eve, not a Pharmacy.”

When I was a kid in a more non-politically correct America, people would tell me to eat my greens, and stay away from drugs. Were people smarter when I was a kid? I mean, a doctor visit cost my family about $5. Doctor Sanson would give us free medicine and common sense advice. Oh, here I go again, off on a tangent. I’ll stop here. Thanks for listening.

Hope to see you folks at the markets this week. And remember, Forks Farmers Market starts Saturday June 12th at 10 am.

“A Good Healthy Day”

I would like to share with you my idea of a good healthy day. These are the kind of days I aim for during the week. Not everyday works out this way, however, many do. When they do, I feel on top of the world. I like to string as many together as I can. Even those days that don’t work out exactly as I like, I try to implement as much of this daily menu as I can. So I will share my goal for a normal day, as well as a few of my lunch recipes. This kind of lifestyle/diet can bring healing and good health for many decades.

Monday Morning through Saturday

7 am – Hydration Drink—16 ounces of distilled water with 1 eighth teaspoon sea salt and a teaspoon of Barley Max. Like fluids to an automobile. Oiling the joints.

Staying hydrated is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies and good health. Try to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of pure water a day. I believe Raw juice and green tea count.

7:25 am – Push-ups, sit-ups, dumbbell exercises. Helps detox and alkaline the body. Wakes up the mind.

8 am – Power Drink—BarleyMax, CarrotMax, BeetMax in 8 ounces of distilled water, or freshly juiced carrot, celery, beet with Barley Max. Oh the energy!!

9 am – Fiber Drink—16 ounces distilled water with heaping tablespoon B-Flax-D, a bit of psyllium and a large teaspoon of fresh raw bee pollen. Need the colon to work at 100%.

10 am – Chlorella tablets and saw palmetto capsule in 8 ounces distilled water. Chlorella for ridding the mercury (silver fillings on teeth) and palmetto because I’m at that age (prostate maintenance).

10:30 am – Green Tea with some raw honey. YUM!

11 am – Barley Max

11:30 am – Country walk on country road. “Take me home to the place I belong, West Virginia….I mean Pennsylvania.”

12 Noon – Hallelujah! It’s lunch time. It is either a Green Smoothie, a green salad or my own unique concoction. I stay raw for optimal energy and staying alkaline. My body can heal and rebuild better this way. If you are interested, here are our recipes for these 3 lunches:

Lunch #1 My own unique concoction! What would you name it?

     1 tablespoon raw honey

1-2 teaspoons fresh raw bee pollen

     1 tablespoon raw almond butter

     couple shakes of cinnamon powder

1 tablespoon elderberry formula from Honey Gardens

     1 handful raw sunflower seeds

     Stir

     Add 1 banana sliced

When done, eat a small handful of raw pumpkin seeds and a few raw almonds. If I am really hungry, I will eat a raw blueberry bar from Hallelujah Acres.

Lunch #2 Green Smoothie for two in a blender

     2 tablespoons raw honey

4 teaspoons fresh raw bee pollen

     Frozen organic strawberries

     Frozen wild blueberries

     1 1/2 frozen bananas

distilled water to help blend everything

spinach, kale, romaine lettuce, spring mix, sprouts. Whatever greens you want. Should be 40% to 60% greens.

     Blend

Suggested toppings—almond butter, raw nuts and seeds, raw coconut, blueberries, sliced apple, sliced mango, etc….

Lunch #3 Green Salad

Greens, tomatoes, onions, sprouts, cucumbers, broccoli, (any favorite veggies), sunflower seeds, avocado, herbs, and crumbled up Foods Alive Raw flax crackers. So Good!

I like to use Foods Alive raw flax oil dressings. They are delicious and good for you. You can also use Braggs organic apple cider vinegar and flax or olive oil.

We carry the Foods Alive and Braggs.

1:30 pm – Green Tea (No honey) I had too much already.

2:30 pm – Power Drink (Same as 8 am)

3:30 pm – Chlorella and saw palmetto again

4:30 pm – Chlorella again. Hey, I have a lot of fillings and you can’t have too many greens.

5:30 pm – Dinner!!! Large Green salad and then I have cooked whole foods. Now my energy will go down slightly as my body digests the cooked.

I take some whole food supplements with dinner. If you think supplements are wrong, Jack La Lanne takes 40 a day. He has a hot marriage, a hot sports car, and he’s 95. So, I’ll take my supplements with dinner, thank you. They are:

1—Kelp

2—Micro-Max (sea minerals and veggies) from H.Acres

3—Curcumin from H.Acres for cholesterol, cancer tumors. What can I say. It’s a high anti-oxidant.

4—Digestive enzymes

5—Chlorella, Yes again!

6—Probiotic sometimes.

Sounds crazy, don’t it?? Not to me. I think it happened after I turned 50. At least that’s what I tell people.

I don’t fear disease. I have not been to the doctors since 1995 (That’s when he told me I was incurable and it was hopeless). Who wants to listen to a negative report?) I rarely have a cold. If so, it lasts only 2 or 3 days. I never have the flu. I feel good. I have lots of energy. When I fall down I bounce….most of the time. God gets ALL the Glory for this.

Now, if you have time, I would like to talk briefly about the most powerful food in the entire world:

Raw, Fresh Bee Pollen!

We are getting so many testimonies from the market place on this food. One lady who had sinus problems galore took too much. She went home and ate a heaping tablespoon for the first time in her life (You are supposed to start with a very tiny piece, the size of the head of a pin). She vomited…..and she was immediately healed completely of her sinus problems.

A man came to our shop at Hometown Market a few weeks ago with arthritis in his hands. Within two weeks, it is going away. I asked him how much he is taking and how often. He told me 2 tablespoons, two times a day. I have been told that is too much, but I guess not for him.

Bee pollen is the only, I say the only perfect food in the world. It contains all the nutrition the human body needs. They have discovered hundreds of folks in Northern Russia well over 100 years of age still active in their villages, who eat pollen everyday. I mean well over 100. I’ve read around 120 yrs of age.

Here are just some of the benefits of fresh raw bee pollen:

#1 Helps alleviate Anemia

#2 Anti-Biotic (Natural)

#3 Anti-wrinkle—Retards aging of the skin. The skin becomes younger looking, smoother and healthier.

#4 Muscle building protein for strength and stamina—great for weight lifters

#5 Profound revitalizing effect on elderly people. (Energy for all ages)

#6 Excellent treatment for constipation

#7 Curbs appetite in the obese. Stimulates appetite in the anemic.

I have a very good source of fresh pollen from Walt at Swarmbustin’, in a very pristine part of Chester County Pennsylvania. Believe it or not, they still have fox hunts there.

      .

Legally I can’t tell you any food can heal the body. Hippocrates can (“Let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food”).He said that 2000 yrs ago. But then Hippocrates didn’t live in a country where his freedom of speech was being slowly taken away. Did I say that? No. Not me. My fingers, in some kind of freaky evolutionary manner, over a period of many eons of seconds, just happened to spell out those words by complete chance.

Seriously, I can say that I have seen many healed after eating certain foods, and have experienced healing myself after changing my diet/lifestyle. What a co-incidence. But then, I do not believe in co-incidence. Wow! I am going off the deep end tonight. Let’s get back to serious stuff.

For the record, there are some very good medical doctors out there. Dorothy and I know some, and study the books of others. There is Doctor Peter Baddick from Weissport (used to be the medic for the Pittsburgh Steelers), and now one of our terrific customers. There’s Doctor Lydia Shilling, also a friend (healed of colon cancer via the Hallelujah Diet), Dr. Joel Fuhrman (Nationally known medical doctor for getting diabetics healed in less than 4 weeks). He was an Olympic skater, crippled in an accident and told he would never walk again. He does.

There is also Dr. McDougal, Dr. Neal Bernard, Dr. Lorraine Day (Head surgeon for the San Francisco General Hospital for 20 years). She was on her deathbed with breast cancer and healed through the Hallelujah Diet and plenty of fresh, clean water. These are just a few. There are many more who believe in the natural ways.

Ladies and Gentlemen. I live the Hallelujah Diet, which, Praise the Lord, has brought my body back to life from a serious disease. It’s basically a diet of mainly raw veggie juices, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables at its core.

I have been told by natural beekeepers, and books by natural beekeepers, that the honey bee is a gift from God, our friends, and they create a fountain of youth in the golden nectar of raw honey, fresh pollen and propolis.

Through Hallelujah Hive, we are infusing healthier diet/lifestyle along with the natural creations of the honeybees to ultimately help you experience quality life.

Could this be the discovery of the ages, the infamous fountain of youth from the legend of old……..??????? NOT! But it’s a lot of fun and a great way to live a lot healthier.

     Thanks for listening.

Hope to see you at the markets this week,

                         Mark

Please take the time to read this article. It could save you years of misery. I once was called old man on the job when I was 35, because the pain in my left leg hurt so much it made me limp when I walked. The pain left one morning about 11 years ago after a change in my diet and lifestyle.

“ARTHRITIS: IT’S TOTALLY HEALABLE”

Yes it is. It really is!! I’ll be taking some quotes from a couple books starting with one of the most popular Natural healing books in the country called “Nutritional Healing” by Phyllis Balch, CNC, and James Balch, MD. I think and hope that you will find the alternative healing of arthritis a so-called Piece of Cake!

“Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more joints. It is characterized by pain and stiffness (especially in the morning or after exercise), swelling, deformity, and/or a diminished range of motion. Bone growths or spurs may develop in the affected joints, increasing pain and decreasing mobility. More than 55 million Americans suffer from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and related conditions, including fibromyalgia, gout, lupus, Lyme disease, psoriatic arthritis, bursitis, scleroderma, Reiter’s syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, and ankylosing spondylitis. Indeed, arthritis and other diseases of the musculoskeletal system are the primary source of disability in the United States today.

These conditions affect the body’s movable or synovial joints at the knees, wrists, elbows, fingers, toes, hips, and shoulders.

Arthritis may appear suddenly or come on gradually. Some people feel a sharp burning or grinding pain. Others compare the pain to that of a toothache.

The most common forms of Arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis.

Osteoarthritis rarely develops before the age of forty, but it affects nearly everyone past the age of sixty. Nearly three times as many women as men have osteoarthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis frequently occurs in people under forty years of age.”

The onset of arthritis is associated with physical or emotional stress, poor nutrition, and bacterial infection.

     OK! All is not lost.

“Arthritis can be reversible and, in some cases, curable with proper diet, and lifestyle changes. These simple changes can not only relieve the inflammation and pain but stop degeneration and rejuvenate the affected joints.”

YES! Proper diet and lifestyle changes. How simple! Now, just what are the diet and lifestyle changes.

Well, first we need to see what our ultimate goal is. Is it a quick fix such as painkillers, cover-ups, and masking of symptoms, so we can continue enjoying the lifestyle that brought on the arthritis in the first place? Please, No, No, No.

We need a permanent lifestyle and diet re-structure for the rest of our life if we are to be completely arthritis, and any other disease for that matter, FREE!!! We want to go on to meet our Maker in the right state of mind, blessing our loved ones in the moments before we go.

So what are these lifestyle changes?

#1 High stress and arthritis go real well together. High stress causes our bodies to give off uric acid. Like I have mentioned before, Uric Acid is the father of most all diseases including arthritis. So, you might have to give up that high stress job. What really is more important anyway? Do we want to hold on tight to that stressful situation, even if it takes us painfully to the grave early, or be more peaceful, maybe with a job that pays a little less? However, look at the overall benefits.

#2 Exercise, makes our bodies more alkaline. Alkaline helps heal arthritis. A peaceful walk along the river with your pet, and maybe even a loved one. It is good to do some weight bearing exercises. I use 5, 10, 25, and 30 lb dumbbells. This strengthens the bones and builds muscle. No pictures please at the market. Ha Ha. Great exercise is a wonderful benefit.

#3 Try to spend more time outside in the sunshine. Sunshine on our bodies provides Vitamin D, which helps with proper bone formation.

According to T. Colon Campbell, PhD, in His book, “The China Study”, “all the autoimmune diseases that have been studied have been found to be more common at the higher geographic latitudes where there is less constant sunshine.”

We have a product from Hallelujah Acres called “B-Flax-D”. This product is made of ground flax seed with B-12 & the kind of vitamin D you get from the sun. I take it in the morning as my fiber to keep regular and keep my colon clean. It gives me that added vitamin D I need for healing and rebuilding. By the way, it actually tastes great and we have it at both markets.

#4 Breathe in some of that fresh air, which is loaded with oxygen. It is more of the alkaline we need for healing.

#5 Another excellent lifestyle change for many is learning to practice forgiveness, and not harboring anger or bitterness. This also causes the body to give off uric acid and has been known to actually destroy people to the point of death. For serious training on love and forgiveness, you can turn to the words of Jesus in the Bible. Pray for help. This is what I do. God does answer prayer.

#6 Actually number 1. Diet!! I don’t mean going on one of these fad diets that are man-made for basically weight loss. We’re talking about a real everyday lifestyle that, as I and many others have learned, after about 3 months becomes quite enjoyable and locked in (habits form in 3 months).

According to Doctor George Malkmus in his book, God’s Way to Ultimate Health, “Arthritis is caused by excess protein and fat in the diet which produce uric acid crystals in the joints…Eliminating the causes of arthritis and giving the body some nourishing raw food, especially raw vegetable juices, will usually bring relief to the arthritic sufferer in a very short time.”

James Balch, MD, says that eating fresh pineapple is excellent for reducing inflammation caused by arthritis. He also says that there is a compound found in cayenne pepper that relieves pain. Eat cayenne pepper everyday.

Serrapeptase, a natural enzyme from Hallelujah Acres, also relieves pain from inflammation. We have it at the markets. These are your pain medications.

He mentions alfalfa for bone formation. That is one of the two ingredients in the Barley-Max we sell and my family takes every day. He also mentions eating ground flax every day, which I already mentioned a couple paragraphs back.

James Balch admonishes the arthritic person to reduce the fat in your diet and completely cut out (do not consume) cows milk, dairy products (Dr. Campbell also states that besides less sunshine, there is also more dairy consumption in the north, linking higher rates of arthritis in the north than the south), meat, caffeine, citrus fruits, paprika, salt, tobacco, and everything containing SUGAR. Remember, sugar is a four-letter word with five letters. It’s bad stuff. You can get your sweets from natural foods like raw honey. I know just where you can get that too!

Doctor Balch also asks the arthritic person to avoid the nightshade vegetables (peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, and white potatoes). These foods contain a substance called solanine, to which some people, particularly those suffering with arthritis, are highly sensitive.

You should eat lots and lots of greens and raw green juices. The Barley-Max is an excellent raw juice that aids in healing and rebuilding the cells, bones, etc. in a much shorter amount of time than whole foods. Juices absorb into the bloodstream quickly and you receive almost 100% of the nutrition, where eating a carrot whole, for instance, you receive only 5 to 35% of the nutrition due to the body having to break the carrot down as it goes through.

Whole grains like brown rice, sweet potatoes, and millet. Brown rice, wheat, and rye contain the amino acid histidine, which is good for removing excess metals from the body. People with arthritis have high levels of copper and iron in their bodies. Could one source be from drinking your well water? Ask me about purchasing a distiller for making that metal-free pure water. Another source of excess iron could be from too much animal meat in the diet.

Raw nuts and seeds, and also legumes are good. But don’t over do it for they are loaded with concentrated protein. You don’t want too much of that. We worry in this country about getting enough protein when we should be concerned about getting too much. That’s the problem. Disease loves excess protein.

It’s going to be OK. It really is. As your arthritis improves, you should be able to eat more of those on the fence foods like eggplant, peppers, etc. You’ll learn to be in tune with your body and it will tell you if you are eating too much of the questionable foods. I’m not talking about processed, non-organic meats and dairy and sugar. They are poison. Disease loves to grow big on them.

Dr. John McDougall states, “Patients will come with rheumatoid arthritis. They’ll be in wheelchairs, they can’t even turn the key on their car. And I’ll take care of them, and three or four weeks later, they’ll go back to see their doctor. They’ll walk up to their doctor, grab his hand and shake it hard. Doctor will say, “Wonderful.” The patient, all excited, will say, “Well, I want to tell you what I did. I went to see this Dr. McDougall, I changed my diet, and now my arthritis is gone.” Their doctor simply responds, “Oh my goodness, That’s great. Whatever you’re doing, just keep doing it. I’ll see you later.” That’s always the response. It’s not, “Please, my god, tell me what you did so I can tell the next patient.” It’s, “Whatever you’re doing, that’s just great.” If the patient starts to tell them they changed to a vegetarian diet, the doctor will cut in with, “Yeah okay, fine, you’re really a strong person. Thanks a lot. See you later.” Get them out of the office as quickly as they can. It’s very threatening…very threatening.”

By the way, Dr. McDougall is a very well known medical doctor out west. He places his patients on a low fat vegan diet for healing.

I’ve said this before, but I can’t say it enough. God says in Psalm 103 that He heals all our diseases and renews our youth. He also says in the book of Hosea that His people perish for lack of knowledge.

Please, don’t be wishy-washy. If you want healing, it’s there for you. Ask God for discipline, strength, and Wisdom. Then Go For It! Go to war. Fight one battle at a time. You know what? You WIN!

     Please, lets review.

1—Lots of greens and raw green juices like Barley max continually

2—Mainly drink lots of distilled water to flush the dead minerals out of the body. (We can get you a distiller)

3— Serrapeptase, a natural enzyme, eats junk out of veins and arteries, cleans out varicose veins and helps eliminate inflammation pain like arthritis

4—Dump the high stress.

5—Exercise, like walking blissfully down a country road or pretend it’s a country road.

6—Spend precious time in prayer with your Creator.

7—Forgive the jerk that cut you off today on the road. Forgive the Democrats and the Republicans. The real King (God) will handle it. Just let it go. You know what I’m trying to say.

8-9-10 Breathe in clean air. Bask in the Sunshine and by all means, “Do not watch the news”!!!

Thank you all for your friendship and patronage.

See you at the market,

                   Mark

Psalm 103—“GOD”—“who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases—who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”

PS. This is National Day of Prayer week. Please pray for America. Please pray that this nation would become Godly once more, that there would be unity among the people and in our government, that we as Christians would not only love our neighbor, but our enemy, and have the courage to help others in need, even if it means we are taking a risk. Lord, please revive this nation NOW!!

               Thanks

Hi Health minded Friends,

Thanks for opening the Note today. I hope you are all doing well in spirit, mind, and body. You may find this Note just a little different from most, or it may seem just the usual crazy mind of the author.

     Please enjoy!

“OH, The Webs We Weave in Life”

Once upon a time, there was a lush, fertile land where three rivers came together (No, it was not Pittsburgh). In fact, it was four rivers come think of it. The property was plum full of fruit trees and veggies, organic to the tee. There were no houses or bridges or cars or trucks. The air was not just clean, it was perfectly pure. The place was not a town or a village or a county or country. It was a garden, the most incredible garden anyone has ever seen, called Eden.

Two people lived in Eden. You might say they were the richest folks on earth. They were the only folks on earth at that moment in history. They, you could say, owned the earth. You probably remember their names, Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve lived in a land so wonderful, that they didn’t need a house. They didn’t even need clothes. There weren’t any stores or malls or farmers markets to buy anything anyway, or charge cards to buy with. They didn’t even need a last name. The weather was nice……all the time!

Over Eden, above the sky, was a realm called Heaven, where God lived with His Son. His Son wasn’t officially named yet. You might know Him (I hope so) as Jesus, the Christ. But let us not get ahead of ourselves.

Every morning God would come down to the garden and visit Adam and Eve. In fact, He would walk and talk with them. God gave Adam a job to do. I think it was a pretty fun, but challenging job. Very simple, name all the animals on earth (Do you think the animals talked) and take care of the garden. The garden must have been easy to take care of since there were no thorns or briars. Moreover, they were given the amazing task of filling the earth with children. With the size of the earth, you’re talking about one large family.

I know I am supposed to be talking about health. Please stay with me.

Let’s try to imagine just what it might have been like to be Adam or Eve living in Eden. Perfect health! All the food you can eat, and it’s delicious. No worries about money or bills. No taxes!! What health insurance??? What is cancer anyway, or diabetes, or high blood pressure? Stress? No! Perfect bliss. Your spouse is the most beautiful, or handsome or hot person literally in the whole world. You can wait to have children a few years or you can start now. Your body is made perfect. You never age or die.

Just think, no TV’s, cell phones, computers, blogs, facebooks, bumper to bumper traffic, etc. etc. etc.

Can you smell the flowers? I mean, really breathe in the fragrance of the roses and lilacs with clear sinuses and no allergies. Well, if you are eating your raw wildflower honey from Hallelujah Hive right now, you have no allergies anyway.

Look at the honeybees taking the nectar from the blueberry flowers. I bet that honey tasted good, and it was totally unprocessed and raw. Oh, to take a walk in Eden feeling the warm breeze on my face and experiencing paradise, not having to worry about anything, anything, anything.

Organic grapes the size of humans. Apples with no worms, or waxy pesticide spray, perfectly sweet and crisp. Cool, juicy, deep red heirloom tomatoes, green spinach and onions. What did they use for dressing?

Baked potatoes…..wait a minute. Potatoes weren’t discovered until the middle ages in Ireland. And there were no kitchen stoves to bake potatoes with.

But!!!!!! Don’t you know there is always something that gets in the way! A catch. Something to screw up the works. A fly in the ointment. Murphy’s Law!!

It didn’t matter what Adam named the animals, or how long it took him and Eve to populate the earth. God didn’t care. It did not matter if they took a few months off from working on the garden to travel to a land far, far away. God gave them the largest, most organic buffet ever put on earth, and told Adam that he could eat any and all that he wanted on the entire planet, except for the fruit on one tree. God asked him to stay away from only one tree out of probably billions. Just 1!!!!! Please don’t eat the fruit on this ONEEEEEEEEE tree in the center of the garden. Out of all these trees, “Don’t Eat That Fruit.” Oh, the webs we weave in life.

Adam and Eve ate the fruit…………………disobedience—Sin—Paradise Lost!

Once upon a time there was a beautiful, lush land called Eden where a couple neat folks lived. There was another tree in the garden called the “Tree of Life”. If only they had eaten of the fruit of this tree, they never would have died. Can you imagine that? It might have all been different for us.

Despite Adam eating from the wrong tree, this original vegan still lived almost 1000 years, according to the Bible, along with many folks for generations, until Noah’s flood.

God’s Son was eventually named. The angel told Mary to name him Jesus. Jesus had to buy us back from the devil, who took ownership at the eating of that forbidden fruit. In fact, I believe Jesus is the “Tree of Life”.

He said in the Bible that if we eat of Him (Repent and ask Jesus to save our soul), we will live forever. WOW! The Garden of Eden still exists according to the Bible. There are angels guarding it with fiery swords. Could one day the Garden be open once again to you and me? Maybe we really will take that walk one day in the Garden of Eden.

This is the way I think. If I am wrong, and I don’t think I am, than at least I will one day go to the grave rejoicing and full of hope. If I am right, than I will one day either go to the grave rejoicing and full of hope, or I, with multitudes of others, be called up into the sky to meet Jesus.

The moral of the story: It is very important what we put into our bodies. What we eat can kill us, or it can give us life. Well, this is one of the morals.

**********************************************************

I happened to read a letter my wife Dorothy was sending to someone, who had asked some dietary questions. The letter is so fascinating to me, I thought I would share it with you.

     In Dorothy’s own words:

“Thank you for your questions, I will try to answer as best I can and hopefully with enough understanding for your frustrations. We have many customers that rave about our creams. In creating them, I wanted a cream that was as natural as possible with ingredients that are very beneficial to the skin without the questionable bad ingredients. I am very picky about what I put on my skin since your skin can absorb about 30% of whatever you place on it. I would not sell anything I wouldn’t use on myself. Thank you for complementing the condition of my skin! Maybe due to some of my Japanese blood, but I believe any culture can have nice or not so nice skin. I believe most of the credit is due to diet and lifestyle. Good health is priceless. And it doesn’t need to be expensive either. God gives us all opportunity to live a prosperous, healthy life if we seek Him first.

There may be many voices out there concerning health, but look for some common denominators. I believe in the simple rule that our diet should be “mostly whole foods with an emphasis on raw”. Whole foods are basically foods closest to the form God made them. The more processed they are, the worst they are for you. Greens are number 1, then all your vegetables of color. Eat very little to no animal products. Animal products are hard to digest and thus a big burden on the body. Some “Health Gurus” out there may recommend certain animal products, I think mostly because they believe Americans can’t live without having animal products every day or else they are addicted to animal products themselves. Our ancestors had no problem with eating only the occasional wild life they killed while hunting or that one chicken every week or so that they raised themselves. We can certainly get plenty of protein and calcium from non-animal sources. If you enjoy eating animal foods just eat them in moderation.

You already know that white flour and white sugar are bad. Nothing wrong with having an occasional spaghetti dish that can fit into the whole food way. Remember also that eating too much cooked foods can be a burden on the body, depleting our own digestive enzymes.

God gave us taste buds for a reason, we are to enjoy foods. With all the allowances of pleasure God gives us, he also requires that we have some restraint. It is wrong to be a glutton or to overindulge and be selfish in any area of our lives. We can all do better to eat simpler and live simpler. The Christian life is one of discipline and continual submission to God, asking His help all the way. I’m certainly preaching to myself!

Another comment about the expense of health. If you are on the fence, eating processed foods and take-outs as well as animal products every day, and eating some health foods and health products, then yes, it can be expensive. Produce, beans, nuts and seeds are very affordable. Planting your own garden is ideal.

Make sure you read Mark’s newsletters, you’ll get lots of encouragement and direction and especially common sense to eating and living. If you stop by the market, hopefully we can have a chat, if we are not too busy with customers.”

God bless you as you seek His will,

~ Dorothy

**********************************************************

Here is a recent testimony sent by one of our coveted customers.

Taking a shower used to be a duty. Something I simply had to do. Ever since I bought your homemade soaps I RELISH my showers! I can’t wait to lather up those fragrant, all-natural, moisturizing bars! I bought the baby shampoo bar for my 8-month-old son and it is fantastic. I also have the Lip Balm. My lips tend to get dry very quickly, and this lip balm has cured that!

Next time I stop in I’ll be buying some more of your products to try. I have my eye on the Propolis Salve and the Bug Shield. Great job, and keep up the good work. God bless!

Happy Easter my Friends,

The note is a little different today. In fact, it might be a little radical to some. Instead of talking about diet and health and what’s on sale at the markets (we do have lots of sales going on), I just want to talk a little about what Easter means to me. Thanks for listening…

“The Real Meaning of Easter to Me”

It is not my ambition to argue about one’s beliefs in religion, at least not in this writing. However, I would like to show a couple observances I have recently made during my journey on this planet with some acquaintances of mine, if you will allow me to kidnap and take advantage of this Hallelujah Hive note for a minute.

A practicing atheist, C.S. Lewis, the author of the Narnia series and a University Professor in England, hated the thought of there being a God so much, that he decided to prove that God did not exist. This great learned, brilliant professor failed in his endeavor miserably. In fact, C.S.Lewis said that every piece of evidence that he could find led to the fact that there is a Creator. On the night he surrendered his life to Christ, he said it had to be the most miserable salvation experience in all of England, because he surrendered kicking and screaming. I cannot remember his words exactly, but they were something like that.

I listened to a scientist, who is a Christian, speaking of one of his colleagues, who is supposedly an atheist. They were discussing evolution verses creation. He said his colleague’s conversation went something like this:

“I have come to the conclusion, that even though I am an evolutionist, scientifically, there is no way the earth’s moon can be where it is without a creator putting it there and holding it there. However, if I were to conclude that I am actually a creationist, that would mean I am a believer in God, which would make me a sinner deserving of Hell, in need of a Savior. So, I don’t go there. The moon is where it is for some unknown reason officially, and that’s the way it is.”

Something I also very recently found out is that there is more historical evidence in the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave than there is for Julius Caesar ruling Rome.

I, myself, came out of a secular partying, drinking and drug background back in the day. I was raised Catholic back in the fifties and early sixties before the Charismatic movement. That’s when they taught if you missed Mass on a given Sunday and died before you went to confession, it was Hell for you.

I struggled with my total belief in God. Was there or was there not a Creator? I didn’t know. This is what I did:

At the age of 29, I stood on my bed at 2 in the morning in my leaky little 4 room cottage, and cried out to God. I asked Jesus to save me from myself. Then I began to ask questions. I told God that I didn’t know if I believed He existed or not. Would He please absolutely prove Himself to me? “I can wait, thank you.”

Over the next couple years He so much proved Himself that it takes more mental energy or faith to believe in luck or co-incidence than it does to believe in Jesus. This is some of how He did it:

#1 Prophecy—In reading the Bible, I discovered that predictions made as far back as 3000 years ago have come true (over 500 of them) 100%. In contrast, 90+% of man’s predictions in tabloids fail every year. For instance, just one prediction in the Bible, was a country called Israel would be born in the year 1948. It was also written almost 3000 years ago that this same Israel would be a stumbling block to all the nations on earth, and after it becomes a nation in 1948, absolutely no one will be able to destroy the nation again. If you are on the fence with your faith in God, I would watch this prophecy.

#2 Answered prayers—Sometimes He says yes. Sometimes He says no. Sometimes He says wait. But there is always an answer. It is so neat to talk to God, sharing feelings, thanking Him and asking Him for help and special needs.

#3 The Bible. I have found personally no mistakes in the Bible. It proves itself. The Old Testament is balanced by the New Testament. For example, I questioned why God destroyed the world by flood in Noah’s day killing everyone with no hope of salvation. That was answered in 1 Peter in the New Testament, when Jesus, after dying on the cross, went into Hades and preached to those who perished in the flood. Wow!! I guess God wanted to spare at least the kids in that generation terrible evil.

#4 Through nature He reveals Himself. Just as I can’t understand a Boeing 747 creating itself over billions of years (what a slap in the face to man if it did), I can’t understand a human eye evolving by itself. The balance of life in the beauty of nature is so vulnerable and mathematically precise.

#5 Miracles—Yes! I myself have seen them. Something that does not make sense. How could it possibly scientifically happen? For example, a friend of mine had a very bad back, terrible pain for many months. He was scheduled for surgery. A group of us prayed over him and asked God to totally heal him. I am not exaggerating. Within several hours, the pain went away and he was completely healed. The surgery was cancelled. To this day he is fine. That was years ago. He is in his mid sixties.

A couple weeks ago, at our nutrition class, some of us layed hands on a woman who’s hands had become very discolored days before. We prayed for a few minutes. When we opened our eyes, the mother of this woman who was praying with us just went beside herself praising God. The woman’s hands had begun losing the discoloring as we were praying.

#6 God’s Holy Spirit – Before Jesus left this earth, he told his followers that he would not leave them completely alone. He promised to fill them with his Spirit and that his Spirit would give them strength to live for him. It was his strength that helped me quit the drugs. I know that some may think I am crazy, but when I asked Him for His Holy Spirit, He sent Him, and I have felt His presence every day ever since. Before this, I never experienced joy, or peace or understanding, or spiritual strength, which are attributes of the Holy Spirit, until one morning alone in my home on August 26, 1982. This was and is another confirmation that God exists.

I was reading a book by a devout atheist. He said that Christianity is a farce because on the one hand Christians say that their God in incomprehensible, but on the other hand they say they can know God personally. Well, I think that this man just doesn’t understand Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, God in the flesh.

God the Father is incomprehensible. But at the same time we can know Him personally through Jesus.

Like I stated in the beginning of this kidnapping of the Hallelujah Hive note, I am not here to argue religion, just to show some of my observances in life, just like I observe folks getting well through good diet and exercise.

It is Easter today. I am very thankful that Jesus gave His life on the cross, rose from the dead and saved my soul. I just told Him I’m sorry for sinning (hurting Him and others and myself), and I asked Him to forgive me.

I do not deserve to go to Heaven. I still sin and fall short, but God bought my soul.

Today I don’t doubt anymore and I’m looking forward to Heaven. I’m no better than anyone else, just forgiven because this secular guy gave up and asked God to forgive me.

     Happy Easter!!! ttt

Hope to see you at the markets.

PS. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe in Him, will not perish, but have everlasting life” – John 3:16 in the Bible

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
