Hallelujah Hive

Hi Health minded Friends,

Thanks for opening the note today. I hope you are all doing well this week. At this writing it is quite hot and humid outside…..and inside. But it is not icy January. I remember last January thinking that as much as I don’t like the heat and humidity of July & August, I’d rather be in July & August. Please enjoy!!

“What is Local Honey?”

Folks are always asking me for local honey. Some people say that it absolutely has to be within 1 mile from your home. Who started that rumor? Once again, are you going to believe everything you hear? So what if you live in the middle of NYC? 1 mile from your home is a huge building complex with 3 trees and 0 bees.

I found out what local honey is to me personally, when I was 50. I had pollen allergies since I was a kid. Dorothy purchased some raw honey from Todd at Honey Gardens in Vermont. I started eating it everyday and miraculously my allergies disappeared. I asked Todd how this could be and he told me that Vermont Wildflower raw honey acts as a local honey in Pennsylvania, because the same flowers in Vermont also exist in Pennsylvania.

I also have a customer at Green Dragon farmers market whose allergies went away eating Colorado bee pollen!

It would seem that there is local honey and there is honey that acts as local honey. The wildflowers in Pennsylvania and Vermont are pretty much the same right down the east coast of the USA. For instance, if you have allergies from goldenrod in the state of Pennsylvania, and eat goldenrod honey from Maryland, your allergy should go away. I was pleasantly surprised when my allergies totally healed and never came back. I just started eating PA honey last year for the first time in my life, but my PA pollen allergies have been gone for over 6 years from eating Vermont honey.

Now there are many health benefits from raw honey, whether it is orange blossom, wildflower, blueberry, etc. It does not matter which part of the USA it comes from, even Hawaii. Raw honey causes the body to strengthen bones, digestion, breathing, memory, and much more.

We have a customer who owns a horse farm. Two years ago, she had allergies and asthma. She told me that after eating our raw honey, her allergies and asthma disappeared. It would seem that the oxygen contained in the raw honey oxygenated her body, and her breathing normalized.

The honeybees major in natural medicine. The raw honey, fresh pollen and propolis are all natural anti-biotics. Maybe this is why beekeepers (mostly in other parts of the world where there are no McDonalds) are the longest living folks in the world. In Northern Russia, they have found over 200 beekeepers that are well over 110.

This may seem hard to believe, but I am a believer. Dorothy and I travel to Vermont to see Todd, who has been working with the bees for over 45 years, and he can pick me up and give me a bear hug as though I were a rag doll. He is my age. My hair is gray. His is blonde.

I have met a lot of beekeepers in this country and, maybe it’s me, but I have never seen one yet that was unhealthy.

Some folks at the market look at me funny when I tell them things like the propolis spray will cause the poison ivy to stop itching, stop spreading and go away.

Dorothy and I are fully focused on spending the rest of our lives eating mostly raw nourishing foods, such as greens greens greens, green smoothies, fruits, veggies, nuts & seeds, raw veggie juices, and of course, gourmet fare from our friends, the honeybees. I am determined, somewhat like Winnie the Pooh, to lose myself in raw honey and fresh raw pollen, and propolis, and beeswax candles, and natural soap made with honey, etc. etc. etc.

As far as I know, I have never been stung by a honeybee. Even walking among the hives of Vermont and Pennsylvania, or having a truck cab full of bees, they just don’t bite me. I guess, I just like and respect the honeybees too much.

First, save the Babies, then, “Save the Bees”. They are our life blood.

OK!!! Time to stop. I’m hinting on radical again.

Thanks for reading.

Our French friends, Jacinthe and Sylvain, a beautiful Christian couple, own and operate an organic elderberry farm one mile north of Vermont. They produce these incredible unique organic jams and jellies. When was the last time you ate jellies and jams that were actually medicine for your body? They also make the heart glad, they taste so good.

Pennsylvania New Harvest!

Raw Wildflower Honey and Raw Fresh Bee Pollen.

Did you know that fresh pollen is the only perfect food in the world? You could live a full life and have babies (if you are a young woman) on bee pollen and water. Pollen contains all the nutrition the human body needs. Who needs a “One-a-Day supplement”?

There go those Gourmet Chef Honeybees again. They have given us their pollen with their secret ingredients to please our palates.

Raw Fresh Pollen strengthens the skin, holding back age and keeping youth around longer. It helps slow wrinkling, gives more physical strength to the body, and builds energy. Better than botox!

Our PA honey and Pollen is Local & Raw as it gets.

One of our recent TESTIMONIES!

Dear H. Hive,

I recently purchased your “Bug Shield” , “Propolis Spray”, and Citronella soap for a trip to Yosemite, CA.

They worked beautifully.  We spent hours by the Merced River and camped in Yosemite.  We had very few bug bites compared to our camping neighbors and with the Propolis spray, there was absolutely no itch.

Thanks so much for great products.
