Hi Friends,
Happy Memorial Day! Remembering those who have given their lives for America that we might have the freedoms we enjoy inspires me. I am truly thankful for these folks, and I have hope for this country because I believe God honors what our forefathers and the fallen soldiers have done unselfishly in God’s Name.
Thanks for opening the Note today. Please Enjoy!
“Hallelujah Hive Natural Soaps”
It was about 5 or 6 years ago that Dorothy had the idea of creating our own natural soaps. Dorothy was already looking for pure natural soap when we started going out together back in 1982. Finally, in the 21st Century she asked me if she were to develop a totally natural soap, do I think folks would buy it at the market? John, our market neighbor, said it would. Thank you John!! We decided it didn’t matter. If nobody bought the soap, we would use it.
You know, even though we have a lot of problems here, this country is still a neat wonderful place to go after the American dream. We’re not making 600 bars a day or more, like some of these over night success soap companies, but we have a lot of happy customers who keep coming back for the 3 for $12 or the 12 for $45 deals. There are even several shops in New England, Canada, and the great state of Pennsylvania, who carry our natural soaps.
Anyway, we are now carrying about 25 different soaps, the most popular being Oatmeal & Honey, followed by Lovely Lavender, Patchouli, Cocoa Butter, and Minty Fresh.
Brand new, this week at the markets, we will have on the shelf, “Balsam & Elder” natural soap. The ingredients include balsam fir needle essential oil and crushed organic elderberry flowers with a nice natural evergreen color. The organic elder flowers are from our friends, Jacinthe and Sylvain, owners of an organic elderberry farm in Quebec. Thank you, Jacinthe, for it was your idea to create this soap to begin with, and thank you also for sending us the elder flowers for the soap. These same two ingredients are also found in their Elderberry Salve for arthritis and inflammation pain, which we carry.
Next week, we plan to unveil our first 100% organic soap called, “Vanilla Bean”. Have you ever smelled the fragrance of organic vanilla? It is awesome, so light, alluring and gentle. We also use this same organic vanilla in our new Organic Vanilla Skin Cream. We hope to offer these soon on our website, but for now, they are only sold at the markets.
For those who are wondering what our natural soap is all about:
Hallelujah Hive Natural Soaps
Our all-natural soaps are handmade in small batches the old-fashioned way using olive oil and other vegetable oils.
Pure essential oils release their lovely perfume and aromatherapy in every bar. Those who know us know we love our honey! Raw honey is in every recipe since it helps to draw and retain moisture to the skin as well as add healing benefits. To help create a harder and longer lasting bar of soap, we use beeswax or cocoa butter.
When ready, the soaps are hand cut and cured for at least 3 weeks. And wow! Do they smell great! We hope you enjoy our homemade soaps as much as we do!

Super Food – “Fresh Bee Pollen”!
Please accept no imitations. Walt, the Pennsylvania beekeeper’s pollen, is not only fresh, it is organically made, and it tastes sweet and delicious. Now Walt has not been able to certify his pollen organic yet. It is hard to certify pollen and honey, since the bees do have a mind of their own, and one or two may decide to visit a farm 10 miles down the road with some sprayed flowers. Not likely, but it is hard to prove.
I know I talked about fresh pollen in the last Note, but I am really excited about it, seeing what I am seeing in the testimonies of our folks at the markets, and even my own body. By just doubling the amount of pollen I eat a day, I have lost weight in my tummy and gained more noticeable strength in my exercise routines.
We are seeing results in our customers with arthritis, allergies, sinus problems, and more.
Walt, the beekeeper, tells me he eats 4 to 5 tablespoons on a normal day. In fact, he says many days he lives on pollen and water until dinner.
I have increased my dosage to about 1 tablespoon twice a day. However, I saw results when I ate just 2 teaspoons once a day.
Here is a testimony sent today through our guest page on our website:
My Mom and I have been taking the Pollen since Friday and have both noticed dramatic results. We are telling everyone about it. As for you I wish I had met you long ago, you are good people and the whole world should know about the products you sell. Oh wait we already do, just not everone takes the products. We will be back on friday this coming week to buy more pollen. Love to you and your wife.

Tupelo Honey!
100% Certified Raw, Unheated, Unfiltered Tupelo Honey from the white tupelo trees that grow in the Apalachicola River basin in North West Florida.
Yes, Hallelujah Hive will now be carrying Don Smiley’s Tupelo Honey. Don is the beekeeper and owner of Smiley Apiaries. From what Don tells me, Tupelo honey, although it is totally raw, stays liquid indefinitely.
If all goes well, our first shipment should arrive in time for this Friday’s Green Dragon Market. This is just the first in a series of new raw honey harvests this summer and fall, including honey from North Carolina.
According to “Woman’s Day” magazine (It was lying around the house), I quote: “Honey is moving out of the kitchen and into the medicine cabinet as scientists continue to uncover surprising evidence of its health benefits. The biggest news so far: Honey can ease many of the common and unpleasant side effects of cancer treatments, and helps stomach ulcers heal faster, according to new research reported at a conference in Athens, Greece, on the medical uses of honey.
Honey is also a natural antiseptic, killing harmful bacteria, reducing inflammation and clearing infections.
Many types of bacteria have become anti-biotic resistant and don’t respond to conventional ointments,” says Peter Molan, Ph.D., professor of biological sciences at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. “But honey clears up these infections without a problem.” End of Quote…..
Off the record, these scientists could have saved themselves a lot of time and taxpayer money if they had just asked some of you folks, our customers, or a couple of our natural beekeeper friends like Todd or Walt what the benefits of raw honey are.

Word of Wisdom!
Don’t believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see. Judge on the testimonies of the people.
Study those who are very healthy or have been totally healed of disease. Look at the common denominators of what they did, such as their diets, stress levels, exercise habits etc.
I studied folks, many who were up there in age, who had beaten terminal disease. Some of their common denominators were that they all drank a lot of fresh water, ate mostly whole raw foods, built their meals around vegetables, exercised, etc.
You may have seen it, there is a commercial on TV that says corn syrup is good for you. Oh Yeah?? Where’s the testimonies of the folks living long healthy lives from eating corn syrup?
It is not just common denominators, it’s common sense, good old “Horse Sense”. God gave us everything we need in nature to be 100% healthy.
“He created a Garden for Adam & Eve, not a Pharmacy.”
When I was a kid in a more non-politically correct America, people would tell me to eat my greens, and stay away from drugs. Were people smarter when I was a kid? I mean, a doctor visit cost my family about $5. Doctor Sanson would give us free medicine and common sense advice. Oh, here I go again, off on a tangent. I’ll stop here. Thanks for listening.
Hope to see you folks at the markets this week. And remember, Forks Farmers Market starts Saturday June 12th at 10 am.
